Digital games have long been a part of young people's lives. So why not use this enthusiasm specifically for action-oriented, self-directed learning processes?
The Mars Mission combines the best of two different worlds: the immersive power of gaming and the practical exploration of career prospects. The entire project is based on the principle of "serious games." Serious games are games that, in addition to entertainment, place a special emphasis on knowledge transfer and skills development.

Players immerse themselves in a virtual world.
Players discover realistic professional environments.
Players solve tasks typical of their professions.
Players gain insight into work processes.
The Mars mission can be used, for example, in career orientation lessons at schools, educational institutions, etc. The following framework serves as a guide or recommendation:
Time required (approximate playing time): 120 minutes
Recommended age group: From 8th grade onwards
School type: Cross-curricular, low-threshold game design
